Keith A. Patridge
President | CEO
For the last 28 years, Keith has worked with global
companies to research, evaluate and implement
strategic relocation or expansion projects in the
international metro area of McAllen, Texas and
Reynosa, Mexico. He and his team of highly qualified
relocation specialists have assisted over 600
companies resulting in the creation of over 150,000 jobs.
Mr. Patridge’ experience in business development, sales, operations and
manufacturing management with a number of national and international
companies have provided him with a unique insight into the elements required
to successfully start up and operate new operations in a border location. He
is actively involved in several new initiatives focused on workforce and skill
development for the next generation advanced manufacturing jobs and what it
takes to build a community to support them. Keith holds two Bachelor degrees
from Missouri Western State University and a J.D. degree from the University of
Missouri- Kansas City.
Janie Cavazos
Vice-President
US Business Recruitment and Retention and
Expansion
Janie has been an employee of MEDC for 25 years. Mrs.
Cavazos has been instrumental in the recruitment
of companies which has resulted in the creation of
numerous jobs in the McAllen metro area. Cavazos
also works with existing companies to ensure they are kept informed on issues
pertaining to their businesses and on the availability of resources to enhance
their company’s growth.
Mrs. Cavazos has served on several boards of directors, such as South
Texas Manufacturers Association, Lower Rio Grande Valley Texas Workforce
Commission, Workforce Development Committee, Texas Border Coalition, and
Society for Human Resource Management.
Olivia Tamez
Marketing Director
Miss Tamez is a UTPA graduate with a Bachelor’s
degree in Mass Communication with a concentration
in Broadcast Journalism. She is currently enrolled in
the Masters of Public Administration Program at The
University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and expects to
graduate July 2016.
Her cross-border and international marketing efforts are instrumental in
attracting and recruiting companies from all around the world to choose the
McAllen/Reynosa area as the best location to meet all their manufacturing
needs.
Miss Tamez is an active member of the Rio South Texas Economic Council
(RSTEC) and the McAllen Rotary Club. She also serves as a committee member
for the American Cancer Society’s “Cattle Baron’s Ball” Fundraiser
On her spare time, Miss Tamez enjoys traveling, reading and volunteering in her
community.
Paula Deyanira Mascorro
Receptionist
Joined the MEDC team in 2014. Graduated from
Rivercrest High School in 2000 from Wilson, AR. Her
work experience has been mainly in the Customer
Service field. Mascorro takes delight to interact with
the office staff and visitors. Some of her interests
include family time, movies, and music.
Joyce Dean
Executive Vice-President
Joyce has been an employee of the McAllen Foreign
Trade Zone and later McAllen Economic Development
Corporation for 38 years. During Dean's tenure
with MEDC, she has served in all aspects of the
organization, but primarily overseeing finances and
human resources.
Dean also serves as MEDC’s representative on the leadership team of Academic
Leadership Alliance (ALA). Since the summer of 2003, ALA has worked to
strengthen the employer/educator connection to achieve the ultimate goal
of providing more productive and functional employees for businesses. Mrs.
Dean currently serves as Assistant Secretary-Treasurer on the McAllen Industrial
Foundation Board. From 1983 to 1985, Dean served as a member of the Board
of Directors for the National Association of Foreign Trade Zones. After serving
as a Director she continued to serve on numerous sub committees of the
Association.
Ralph Garcia
Vice President
Business Recruitment - Mexico
Mr. Garcia has been in the organization for the past
14 years assisting investment requirements for many
multinational companies wanting to locate their
manufacturing facilities along the United States/
Mexico border.
Through his role, Mr. Garcia maintains a strong international relationship with
key government officials to attract new investment wanting to develop or
expand their manufacturing base in North America. Mr. Garcia is also actively
involved in bi-national retention and expansion of existing businesses, through
the development and improvement of infrastructure, education, suppliers, and
workforce development.
Adrienne Downey
Business Development Specialist
Adrienne joined MEDC in December of 2012. As a
Business Development Specialist, she engages in
industrial business retention and recruitment by
initiating and building relationships with business
leaders who are interested in expanding or locating
their company to the McAllen community. She
assists them throughout their entire due diligence
process including, but not limited to; analyzing their specific needs, making
recommendations, identifying real estate options, coordinating and completing
incentive applications on the city, county and state level and also supporting
the company once it has decided to call McAllen “home.”
Adrienne is originally a Texan but grew up in Massachusetts. She is currently
studying Organizational Leadership at South Texas College and expects to
graduate with her Bachelor of Applied Science in Organizational Leadership in
December of 2015. In addition to her baccalaureate degree, Adrienne has taken
several courses through the International Economic Development Council and
is working towards becoming a Certified Economic Developer.
Susie Flores
Coordinator of Research
Susie has been with MEDC for 14 years. Mrs.
Flores conducts research, compiles statistical and
demographic reports, and coordinates relocation
services for prospective companies moving to McAllen.
Delivering the best customer service and always going
the extra mile, to assist companies relocating to the
McAllen/Reynosa area, is her top priority.
Mrs. Flores graduated from Hanna High School in Brownsville and plans on
returning to UT-RGV to obtain her bachelors in Business Administration in
the near future. She is an active member of the Parent Teacher Organization
(PTO) with the McAllen Independent School District and is a past President and
Secretary for the PTO. She has also served as a McAllen ISD Superintendent
Advisory Board member.
