addition, consider establish<strong>in</strong>g Professional Learn<strong>in</strong>g<br />

Communities: every two weeks everyone gets toge<strong>the</strong>r<br />

<strong>and</strong> discusses how to meet <strong>the</strong> needs of all learners.<br />

Everyone has a share <strong>and</strong> say. This humanistic approach<br />

is really mean<strong>in</strong>gful <strong>and</strong> engag<strong>in</strong>g for teachers. Every<br />

person <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> build<strong>in</strong>g is participat<strong>in</strong>g with<strong>in</strong> work hours.<br />

that focuses on First Peoples education, <strong>and</strong> use <strong>the</strong>se<br />

professional development activities as a way to create<br />

a local Indigenous Education plan for <strong>the</strong>ir community.<br />

Relationships are central, so allow for professional<br />

development that helps all teachers to underst<strong>and</strong><br />

how important relationship-build<strong>in</strong>g is to student<br />

success (between teachers <strong>and</strong> students, students <strong>and</strong><br />

students, parents <strong>and</strong> teachers, etc.).<br />
