Community Centre’s Working Together to Make<br />

ACVO participated in an excellent get together of community centre’s<br />
from across Aberdeen which was held at the wonderful Hilton Community<br />
Centre. At the meeting representatives and volunteers from community<br />
centre’s shared information, discussed matters of common concern/<br />
interest and planned work together for the good of our communities.<br />
ACVO, I-Connect North East, A1 Digital Solutions and Pathways provided<br />
presentations regarding their work, services and links with community<br />
centre’s.<br />
The meeting was an astounding success and highlighted how active and<br />
crucial Community Centre’s are.<br />

Fresher’s Welcome and Banquet<br />
Success<br />
ACVO were delighted to contribute at the<br />
Fresher’s Welcome and Banquet Fayre at the<br />
City of God Church/Jesus House Aberdeen. The<br />
Fayre welcomed current and new students to<br />
Aberdeen and included information regarding<br />
aspects such as About Aberdeen & Shire, First<br />
Impressions, Academic without Tears, University<br />
Life, Employment/HR Talk, Immigration, Helping in<br />
the Community and Volunteering.<br />
The event was a fantastic success and Atinuke (Tinu) Kudaisi from the City of God Church stated ‘the event at<br />
City of God was excellent. Many thanks to ACVO for the great and wonderful job that you do. The numbers of<br />
people and hours of volunteering are quite astounding and all at the City of God Church/Jesus House Aberdeen<br />
will continue to assist all we can in helping in the Aberdeen community’.<br />
ACVO also thanks Atinuke (Tinu) Kudaisi for her help and enthusiasm in supporting volunteering in Aberdeen.<br />
