today and tell us to go and buy ANY bike
we wanted, we’d be hard pressed to tell
you exactly which one we’d go and load
up. This Sherco is one sweet ride – it
would be right up there.

Fired by a young company’s energy and
enthusiasm and backed by painstaking
research and development, Sherco
proven quality and durability. They have
propelled Graham Jarvis to the top of
extreme enduros and - with Jeremy
Tarroux and Fabian Planet - they are
currently 3rd in the Enduro World
Championship manufacturers standings.
In South Africa, Sherco is imported by the
guys from Toyscom in Centurion. They are
a well- established outfit who import the
GS moon and Hadjadu range of buggies –
and Kenny MX gear. They have been very
active promoting this high end brand with
riders like Altus De Wet competing in all
the national Enduro events as well as
some extreme stuff abroad…
We missed the 2016 world launch thanks
to a local event that we had to attend, but
all of the preliminary ride impressions
were pretty good for this lady. When
offices for testing, we took off on the
trails for a good spin.
We are the first to admit that we are
certainly not Roof riders – we do enjoy
a lekker trail ride with sections of tricky
stuff. We reckon that that accounts for
about 95 percent of the riding population
in SA. The bike was also brand new and
not run in, so we had a very relaxed,
social spin on this one. And guess what?
Huge fun, very capable, a well-designed,
fun to ride motorcycle. When it is run in
we’ll scrag it again and take off into the
mountains for some more gnarly terrain.
This bike looks the part – the graphics
are striking and the bodywork is slim
and modern. Attention to detail is
everywhere – Electronic fuel Injection,
Braided brake hoses, Hydraulic Brembo
