All services listed below are offered at the Oceanside Campus. Some are available upon request at<br />
the San Elijo Campus and Community Learning Center. Students are encouraged to take advantage<br />
of these services throughout their educational experiences at <strong>MiraCosta</strong> <strong>College</strong>.<br />

<strong>MiraCosta</strong> <strong>College</strong> competes in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference<br />
in men’s and women’s basketball and soccer, women’s volleyball and<br />
women’s sand volleyball. <strong>MiraCosta</strong> <strong>College</strong> also has a surf team that<br />
competes in the collegiate division of the National Scholastic Surfing<br />
Association (NSSA).<br />
The Intramural Sports Program is open to all enrolled students free of<br />
charge and provides a safe, fun atmosphere to meet new people and<br />
enjoy physical activity in a variety of one-day sports tournaments and<br />
activities. Sports include soccer, basketball, dodgeball, flag football, hiking,<br />
kayaking, softball, volleyball, ping pong and ultimate Frisbee. Tournaments<br />
are for both men and women, and all skill levels are welcome.<br />

begins with career planning. Come to the Career Center to assess<br />
your interests, personality, and values; choose a major that excites you<br />
and leads to career options that allow you to enjoy your San Diego<br />
lifestyle. Learn how to write your resume, prepare for interviews, locate<br />
opportunities, and network with employers to find internships and jobs.<br />

Child Development Center<br />

<strong>MiraCosta</strong> <strong>College</strong>’s Child Development Center serves student, staff and<br />
community families. The center provides developmentally appropriate,<br />
play-based, and inclusive early care and education for children<br />
between the ages of 18 months and 5 1/2 years.<br />
Located on the Oceanside Campus, the Child Development Center is<br />
open weekdays from 7:30 a.m.–4:45 p.m. throughout the academic year.<br />
<strong>MiraCosta</strong>’s student families receive priority enrollment as well as<br />
reduced fees.<br />
Applications for enrollment are available online each semester at the<br />
center’s website. Registration for spring semester begins November 2.<br />
Spaces fill very quickly; please apply early.<br />

<strong>College</strong> Police assists with vehicle lock outs, jump starts, escorts and<br />
traffic control and provides a women’s self-defense program.<br />
A copy of <strong>MiraCosta</strong> <strong>College</strong>’s Annual Security Report (CLERY Act) is<br />
available to students and prospective students. This report includes<br />
statistics concerning reported crimes that occurred on-campus; in<br />
certain non-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the<br />
college; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to<br />
and accessible from, the campus. The report also includes institutional<br />
policies concerning campus security, such as policies concerning<br />
sexual assault, and other matters. You can obtain a copy of this report<br />
by contacting the <strong>MiraCosta</strong> <strong>College</strong> Police Department or by accessing<br />

The Counseling Center offers individualized academic, career, and<br />
personal counseling to assist both prospective and current students in<br />
developing their educational programs, coordinating their career and<br />
academic goals, and understanding graduation, major, certificate,<br />
and transfer requirements. Students can visit or call the office for<br />
appointments or drop-in times.<br />

<strong>MiraCosta</strong> <strong>College</strong>’s Disabled Students Programs and Services (DSPS)<br />
Office helps students who have certain verified disabilities. Services<br />
include academic counseling, alternate format materials, test<br />
accommodations, note-takers, in-class mobility aides, interpreters,<br />
readers, special content courses and more.<br />
