The City of Yucaipa will host its 3rd Annual Winterfest and<br />
Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 28, from 3pm to<br />
8pm in the Historic Uptown District. Thousands will gather<br />
to enjoy yuletide carolers, holiday music, food and craft vendors<br />
and snow sled runs.<br />
This event celebrates the traditional lighting of the holiday<br />
roundabout tree and will feature the Yucaipa High School Madrigals<br />
performing jubilant sounds of the season. It is sure to get all<br />
into the holiday spirit.<br />
Other event activities include a Santa’s Village where kids can<br />
write a letter to Santa, decorate a cookie in Mrs. Claus’ Kitchen, and<br />
make a craft in the Elves’ Workshop. Forty tons of snow will shape a<br />
sled run and play area. Craft vendors will be located on California St.<br />
from Yucaipa Blvd. to Ave A.<br />
Photos with Santa will be available from 3pm to 5pm and again<br />
from 6:30pm to 8pm. The grand tree lighting ceremony will take<br />
place at 6pm.<br />
