Harvest Festival
Original Art &
Craft Show
KICKS OFF THE HOLIDAYS AT
THE FAIRPLEX IN POMONA
Nothing gets you in the holiday spirit like a trip to the Pomona Harvest
Festival Original Art & Craft Show at the Fairplex, Dec. 4-6, where more
than 300 exhibitors ring in the season with dazzling, handcrafted items for
everyone on your shopping list. Aglow in holiday décor, the Fairplex becomes a
winter wonderland for the holiday “shop fest” of the season, complete with live
entertainment, contests, strolling performers, a Kidzone, and more.
Bring on the holiday bliss with the stress-free shopping selection of 24,000
handmade originals ranging from stunning jewelry, photography, clothing and
accessories, to glass, woodwork, ceramics, ornaments, specialty foods, furniture,
and much more, all at unbeatable prices. Patrons who bring non-perishables for
donation to the Foothill Family Shelter will receive $2 off admission. Tickets are
good for the entire weekend.
Local Corona artists are among the hundreds showcasing their creations.
Cheryl Bechtold of “Pillow Picasso” specializes in custom-made bedding. Her
hand painted holiday pillow covers and table runners are a blend of fabrics and
textures, each one a unique masterpiece. “I especially enjoy visiting with the
Festival patrons,” says Bechtold. “Sometimes they even send me pictures of how
my pieces look in their homes.” Katie Knight of “Unique Bottle Candles” gets
creative with repurposed bottles, hand cut bottles and wind chimes.
The celebration includes a creative oasis for the young at heart where Macaroni
Kid presents free interactive “make ‘n’ take” crafts and Home Depot of
Chino hosts personalized instruction and assembly of pint-sized toolboxes kids
can keep as a free memento. Parents will also appreciate the free digital fingerprint
Child ID services courtesy of New York Life. Priceless Pets will have a host of four
legged friends available outside for adoption.
Stage Entertainment
Captivating audiences with dynamic renditions of music
for all ages, “HyJinx” takes to the main stage with a range
of melodies from R&B to swing, Motown, classic rock
and current hits. Captain Jack Spareribs (a spoof to the notorious
Pirates of the Caribbean films) performs his zany pirate
show that blends comedy with magic, juggling, and illusions.
Strolling performers “Stilt Santa” and “Mama Claus & Eddie
the Elf” add to the holiday cheer.
