‘Hope Comes Alive’ With
Lonestar
CBU Christmas Concert
There’s music in the air. That’s something that
generally happens around Christmas time in
most places; however, it’s a little different at
California Baptist University.
The University Choir and Orchestra (UCO),
directed by Dr. Judd Bonner, is hard at work
preparing for their 10th annual Christmas concert
titled Hope Comes Alive and their approach
to the standard canon of Christmas music is
different than you’ll hear on the radio. The message
of Christmas rings louder and pierces hearts
in a way like no other when presented by 150
college-aged students who passionately believe
every word they sing.
UCO, as they are fondly referred to, performs
regularly – roughly 60 concerts throughout the
year – both locally and across the country, and
in every venue in which they perform, their goal
SINGING THEIR PASSION The California
Baptist University Choir and Orchestra includes 150
student voices.
is the same – to inspire and engage the audience
with overwhelming energy, vibrant passion, and
musical excellence.
This special evening of Christmas music is sure
to do just that for you and your family, so mark
your calendars for December 12, at 6pm, and prepare
to be filled with the true spirit of Christmas!
The UCO Christmas Concert takes place
at Harvest Christian Fellowship, 6115 Arlington
Ave., in Riverside. Tickets are $20; call
the School of Music to reserve your seat, at
(951) 343-4251. IER
