Competition. Upcoming<br />

Bartolo in Il Barbiere di Siviglia for Pacific Opera<br />

Victoria, Tapestry Opera’s premiere of Gareth<br />

Willams’ Rocking Horse Winner, and<br />

Heggie’s Moby Dick with Dallas Opera.<br />

Among his recent credits are Mahler’s Lieder eines<br />

fahrenden Gesellen (Toronto Summer Music),<br />

Father Palmer in Silent Night (Calgary Opera), and<br />

Bartolo in both Le Nozze di Figaro and Il Barbiere<br />

di Siviglia (Opera Lyra Ottawa). He has also<br />

worked with the opera companies of Vancouver,<br />

Edmonton, Quebec and the Canadian Opera<br />

Company. He last performed with Manitoba<br />

Opera as Schaunard in the 2014 production<br />

of La Bohème.<br />

Concert Opera as Dorabella in Così fan tutte.<br />

(Hansel and Gretel), Carmen and Mercedes<br />

(Carmen), and Cherubino (Le Nozze di Figaro)<br />

with companies including Saskatoon Opera, Little<br />

Opera on the Prairie, and Vancouver Island Opera.<br />

In Europe she has sung the roles of Dorabella,<br />

Berta, and Dritte Dame.<br />

Ms. Woynarski has performed with the Vancouver,<br />

Regina and Saskatoon Symphony Orchestras, the<br />

Northern Czech Philharmonic, and Mercury Opera,<br />

Edmonton.<br />

Daniel Okulitch<br />

Count Almaviva<br />

Canadian bass-baritone<br />

Daniel Okulitch has<br />

performed for some of<br />

the most prestigious opera<br />

companies and orchestras<br />

throughout Europe and<br />

North America. These include Le Châtelet, Teatro<br />

alla Scala, Teatro Colon, Dallas, Washington, and<br />

Los Angeles.<br />

Most recently he debuted as Lieutenant<br />

Horstmayer in Kevin Putt’s Silent Night with<br />

l’Opéra de Montréal, the role of Herman Broder<br />

in the world premiere of Enemies, A Love Story<br />

with Palm Beach Opera, the role of Ennis Del Mar<br />

in the world premiere of Brokeback Mountain<br />

at Madrid’s Teatro Real, the four villains in<br />

Les Contes d’Hoffmann with Edmonton Opera,<br />

and Creonte in Medea in Geneva.<br />

He also joined the cast of the Metropolitan Opera<br />

for Don Giovanni and returned to Santa Fe Opera<br />

for the count in Le Nozze di Figaro.<br />

Mr. Okulitch last performed with Manitoba Opera<br />

as Schaunard in the 2005 production of La Bohème.<br />

of music from the baroque<br />

to contemporary.<br />

This season, Mr. Menzies performs Almaviva<br />

(Brott Opera); Judith (Pax Christi); Tacmas -<br />

Les fleurs, Belmonte - Die Entführung aus dem<br />

Serail (Co. Baroque Mont-Royal); Handel -<br />

Chandos Anthems (Sherbrooke University),<br />

and B minor mass (Ensemble Caprice).<br />

In past seasons she has performed the roles<br />

of Dritte Dame (Die Zauberflöte), Hansel<br />
