Deputy Sheriff killed. C. B. Fugate killed as he searches for gun of
killer. Art Marcum shot 3 times. Carleton was shot down by Night Marshall,
W. W. Benson. Walt Heaslet Town Marshall, arrested Carleton.
"Anna Juchem, 73, owner and operator of the famous Juchem Ranch at
Juchem Station, died Thursday night at her home after only a few hours'
illness. She was born on the Ranch, which was homesteaded by her parents
and became onf of the famous pioneer ranches of this County. She and sister,
Lena, operated ranch after death of parents. Lena Putman died three months
to the day before her. Both were also stricken while in Grange Hall on Wadsworth.
John A. Gorcich dies, 84, a retired brick contractor who served on both
the School Board and the Town Board for 10 years. Lived in Arvada 29
years. Secregary to Masonic Lodge 26 years.
3,537 men between the ages of 21 - 36 registered for the draft.
Frank Moulton died. Came to Arvada in 1914, a retired contractor who
raised St Bernards.

Robert Lucas died. Moved to Arvada in 1901. Mebiber of Baptist Church.
