Audit Opinion<br />
___We have audited the accompanying consolidated financial statements of <strong>Flughafen</strong> <strong>Wien</strong><br />
AG (the Group) as of December 31, <strong>2001</strong> according to the International Accounting Standards<br />
(IAS) established by the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB). These financial<br />
statements, which were prepared, are the responsibility of the Company's management. Our<br />
responsibility is to express an opinion on these statements based on our audit.<br />
___We conducted our audit in accordance with International Standards on Auditing issued by<br />
the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC). These standards require that we plan and<br />
perform the audit to obtain reasonable assurance about whether the financial statements are<br />
free from material misstatement. An audit also includes examining, on a test basis, evidence<br />
supporting the amounts and disclosures in the financial statements. The audit also includes<br />
assessing the accounting principles used and significant estimates made by management, as<br />
well as evaluating the overall financial statement presentation. We believe that our audit provides<br />
a reasonable basis for our opinion.<br />
___In our opinion, the consolidated financial statements present fairly in all material respects<br />
the financial position of the Group as of 31 December, <strong>2001</strong> and the results of operations and<br />
cash flows for the year then ended in accordance with International Accounting Standards<br />
(IAS).<br />
___Austrian commercial law requires us to audit the Group management report and compliance<br />
with the requirements to exempt the Group from preparing consolidated financial<br />
statements under Austrian law. We certify that the Group management report agrees with the<br />
consolidated financial statements, and that the requirements are met to exempt the Group<br />
from preparing consolidated financial statements under Austrian law.<br />
