The deniway ® construction kit<br />
Straightforward project engineering, effi cient conveying<br />
deniway ® <strong>plate</strong> <strong>chain</strong> <strong>conveyor</strong>s combine the advan-<br />
tages of different <strong>conveyor</strong> types in a practical construction<br />
kit.<br />
The <strong>plate</strong> <strong>chain</strong> is guided with little friction in a centre<br />
channel on rollers and supported at the sides by an<br />
aluminium profi le.<br />
As a result, horizontal and vertical changes of direction,<br />
as well curves are possible in a <strong>conveyor</strong>. deniway ®<br />
<strong>conveyor</strong>s have been top performers in unit goods<br />
conveying for decades. They have also proved to be<br />
extremely reliable and low on maintenance.<br />

Easy-to-assemble construction kit<br />
The entire deniway ® construction kit is based on modules.<br />
The basic components can be used to plan and construct a<br />
wide variety of <strong>conveyor</strong>s for unit goods.<br />
Screw connections are used throughout. As a result, assembly<br />
is particularly easy and the layout can be altered quickly.<br />
Standard components and auxiliary equipment can be added<br />
to the <strong>conveyor</strong>s to provide other functions, such as for<br />
example merges. Components from other manufacturers can<br />
be integrated without any problem.<br />
A wide range of components allow complex <strong>conveyor</strong>s<br />
to be implemented – even with transfer points to other<br />
<strong>conveyor</strong>s.
Low costs<br />
When the complexity of a layout in standard <strong>conveyor</strong>s<br />
increases, costs often rise because several <strong>conveyor</strong>s and<br />
different <strong>conveyor</strong> types are used.<br />
With deniway ® , in one single <strong>conveyor</strong> you can implement<br />
horizontal and vertical changes of direction, as well as<br />
sections of the <strong>conveyor</strong> that incline sideways. Depending on<br />
the length, the costs only change disproportionately because<br />
only a few drives are needed on long <strong>conveyor</strong>s. Therefore,<br />
the more complex a system gets, the more benefi ts deniway ®<br />
<strong>conveyor</strong>s can offer.<br />
When layouts are changed, the length of the <strong>plate</strong> <strong>chain</strong> can<br />
be adapted. There is no need to change belts.<br />
Conveyor systems without a return side can use the entire<br />
length of the <strong>chain</strong> as a conveying line. Consequently these<br />
sorts of <strong>conveyor</strong> confi gurations produce the biggest cost<br />
savings.<br />

Low maintenance and running costs<br />
The <strong>conveyor</strong>s implemented with the deniway ® construction<br />
kit are reliable and require little maintenance. The very low<br />
incidence of malfunctions reduces downtimes and running<br />
costs.<br />
As the main load of the goods conveyed is borne by a robust<br />
roller <strong>chain</strong>, there is no wear and tear from abrasion. The<br />
established, state-of-the-art <strong>chain</strong> technology means lownoise,<br />
lubricant-free <strong>conveyor</strong>s.<br />
Due to the low number of drives, a number of problems, like<br />
synchronisation or transfer points, are avoided. Drive capacity<br />
is maximised.<br />

Supports<br />
Narrow for circular conveying and wide for return conveying. The height<br />
of the <strong>conveyor</strong> is 850 mm. The supports are adjustable in a range of<br />
±100 mm. In straight sections, supports at a distance of max. 2000 mm<br />
and in curved sections at distance of 1500 mm. Narrow supports<br />
516 mm; wide supports 616 mm.<br />
The supports are fastened to the ground and with the channel.<br />
Please note: The supports for compensators must be fi tted on sliding<br />
<strong>plate</strong>s.<br />

Spiral support<br />
Four supports are required for each spiral and their height depends on<br />

Aluminium side supports<br />
Side supports support the side of the <strong>plate</strong> <strong>chain</strong> in sections subjected to<br />
load at the sides from the goods conveyed, e.g. merges or where wide<br />
products are not positioned in the middle of the belt. We recommend<br />
their usage. Side supports are supplied in pairs for both sides of the<br />
<strong>conveyor</strong>. Their lengths, radii and direction of curvature are based on the<br />
centre guidance channel.<br />
Retrofi tting with lateral rods is only possible in version P channel sections<br />
(see page 8).<br />
In all PS-type channel sections, side supports, connecting rods, screws<br />
and connectors are already included.<br />

Project engineering information<br />
The deniway ® construction kit has been designed to<br />
implement a complete <strong>conveyor</strong> with the standard parts.<br />
The <strong>conveyor</strong>s can be adjusted to handle many different<br />
requirements.<br />
A few basic principles<br />
for concept development and assembly<br />
– Straight lines should be divided up into as many threemetre<br />
sections as possible.<br />
– Divide curves up into as large segments as possible.<br />
Largest segment = 90°.<br />
– A straight channel, at least L ≥ 300 mm, should always<br />
be placed between changes of direction or transitions from<br />
side curves to positive or negative curves.<br />
– Channel supports in straight sections every 2 to 2.5 m,<br />
in side curves every 1.5 to 2 m (curve dimensions). The<br />
supports should be distributed evenly throughout the<br />
<strong>conveyor</strong>.<br />
– When using our standard supports, the table height is<br />
850 mm.<br />
The supports can be adjusted in a ± 100 mm range.<br />
– The <strong>conveyor</strong> should include sideways guiders in sections<br />
that are over head height.<br />
