Hot slag with temperatures up to 1,300 degrees, molten steel, angular and dusty bulk materials, metre-long and extremely heavy red-hot steel slabs or coils provide a difficult challenge for workers and machines alike. In addition, the vehicles for in-plant logistics have to work reliably and safely under these extreme conditions and, at the same time, have to be cost-effective. The TII Group has developed transportation systems for meeting logistics requirements in the metallurgy sector which can expertly handle the extreme heat, dirt and heavy loads. As a full-range supplier, the Group provides vehicles for operations in the production process in steelworks which can reliably deal with all transportation tasks along the value chain. Here, the product range ranges from ladle carriers for molten steel with payloads of over 500 tonnes and slag pot carriers with payloads up to 150 tonnes through to slab transporters, industry transporters, scrap basket transporters, U-frame trucks and articulated vehicles, compact coil transporters with cover protection against all types of weather as well as heavy load trailers with electronic steering and automatic positioning aid for driving under pallets.
