LOOKING FORWARD TO A <strong>2016</strong> FULL OF GIVING<br />

Variety of Southern California Annual Charity Luncheon<br />

Variety of Southern California presented John Lundin, Vice President of Film,<br />

Carmike Cinemas, with the 2015 Heart of Show Business Award at the Annual<br />

Charity Luncheon in Los Angeles. A sold-out crowd of more than 350 of John’s<br />

friends and colleagues attended to celebrate his career and upcoming retirement.<br />

Variety of Detroit Bikes for Kids Annual Bike<br />

Party<br />

Variety of Detroit provided 150 new bicycles,<br />

locks, and helmets, including prescriptively modified<br />

bikes for children with special needs, to deserving<br />

Paul Silk, Jack Foley, Scott Forman, David Passman, John Lundin, Rory Bruer, Gigi Lestak,<br />

Rusty Gautier, Bill Robinson<br />

children through partnerships with social service<br />

agencies and organizations. Children and their families<br />

were invited to the party and enjoyed music, dancing,<br />

carnival games, food, face painting, and a visit from<br />

Santa Claus and Paws from the Detroit Tigers.<br />

Variety of Detroit’s Adopt-a-Family & Santa’s<br />

Workshop<br />

Variety of Detroit adopted 500 children though the<br />

annual holiday Adopt-a-Family Program. Through the<br />

generosity of Variety supporters, these special children<br />

Gigi Lestak, Rusty Gautier, Bill Robinson<br />

received holiday presents including coats, clothing,<br />

toys, games, and more. Donors and their families were<br />

invited to the annual Santa’s Workshop Party to wrap<br />

the gifts in preparation for delivery to the families<br />

through partnerships with children’s agencies and<br />

organizations.<br />
