LOOKING FORWARD TO A 2016 FULL OF GIVING

Variety of Southern California Annual Charity Luncheon
Variety of Southern California presented John Lundin, Vice President of Film,
Carmike Cinemas, with the 2015 Heart of Show Business Award at the Annual
Charity Luncheon in Los Angeles. A sold-out crowd of more than 350 of John’s
friends and colleagues attended to celebrate his career and upcoming retirement.

Variety of Detroit provided 150 new bicycles,
locks, and helmets, including prescriptively modified
bikes for children with special needs, to deserving

children through partnerships with social service
agencies and organizations. Children and their families
were invited to the party and enjoyed music, dancing,
carnival games, food, face painting, and a visit from
Santa Claus and Paws from the Detroit Tigers.
Variety of Detroit’s Adopt-a-Family & Santa’s
Workshop
Variety of Detroit adopted 500 children though the
annual holiday Adopt-a-Family Program. Through the
generosity of Variety supporters, these special children

received holiday presents including coats, clothing,
toys, games, and more. Donors and their families were
invited to the annual Santa’s Workshop Party to wrap
the gifts in preparation for delivery to the families
through partnerships with children’s agencies and
organizations.
