'OUR FATHER'<br />
THE LORD’S PRAYER : M. M. NINAN<br />
You cannot say the Lord’s prayer, and even once say "I".<br />
You cannot pray the Lord’s prayer, and even once say "my".<br />
Nor can you pray the Lord’s prayer and not pray for another.<br />
For to ask for "our" daily bread, you include your sister and brother!<br />
All God’s children are included in each and every plea.<br />
From the beginning to the end of it, it does not once say "me".<br />
Not only that God is “My Father” as Luke puts it. He is also “Our Father”, Father of all created<br />
existence and in particular to all created beings and particularly the father of of Man. That is why we<br />
have the clear statement in Luke 3:38<br />
