Rambam
Rabbi Moshe ben Maimon or the acronym the Rambam was born in Cordoba,
Spain on March 30, 1135, and died in Egypt on December 13, 1204. He was the
greatest Jewish philosopher and codifier of Jewish law in history..
"From Moshe (Rabbeinu, in the Bible) till Moshe (ben Maimon), there arose none
like Moshe."
The fourteen-volume Mishneh Torah (Review of the Torah)today retains canonical
authority as a codification of Talmudic law
