Mesmerising Morning at Cape Reinga
There are very few
countries as beautiful as
New Zealand.
We all know this place
is a sheer heaven on Earth.
The mornings and evening
are specially worth witnessing.
Every sunrise and sunset tells a
story of a lifetime and it seems
that Nature is showing its
majestic colour palette on the
canvas of sky.
People travel thousands
of kilometers to witness this
amazing spectacular.
I am no exception.
Just by witnessing the play
of Sun God, one goes into a
trance effortlessly. The energy of
these times in the remote areas
is almost tangible and spell
bounding.
At these times one becomes
speechless seeing the winds
carrying the mist from one
direction to other between the
shallow valleys.
Exaggerated Mood
The dramatic formation of the
landscape exaggerates its mood.
Just a sight for few moments
is enough to add a sense of
celebration to your day. And if
one captures it on camera than
you have stored it for eternity.
I feel blessed.
For the last six weeks, I was
out to the various locations
across the North Island.
We captured sunsets and
sunrises across some of the
most loved destinations, i.e.
Coromandel, Taupo, Rotorua
and Cape Reinga.
As a photographer, you intend
to leave your place of stay at
least 30 minutes before the sun
rises. And every morning was
unique;seeming as if it was
specially crafted for us. The
energy, visual appearance made
us feel that God left all His jobs
to paint these landscapes with
mist and fog and allowed winds
to blow them to recreate various
shapes. I know He was playing
His ‘Game of Perfection.’
Game of Destiny
We stayed on the seaside
campsite at Cape Reinga. We
started habitually half an hour
before sunrise. As per the plan,
we wanted to reach first point
of Ninety-Mile Beach early. But
destiny always plays silently.
We might have travelled eight
kilometers from the camping
site; the beautiful visual left us
spellbound. At a far distance,
the drama of fog against
beautiful waste landscape
started unveiling itself.
We captured the evolving
scenario on our cameras for
more than an hour without
talking at all.
Nature forced us to witness
its wonders and through us to
be seen by as many as possible.
Surprisingly,on a few mornings,
we went off track,and discovered
the hidden treasures of
Nature, waiting to be explored.
The images here were presented
to me by the Almighty.
I call it ‘An Eternal Experience.’
