I joined SAS in April 1992 and in October 2008 I became Academic Program Manager for Italy. Starting from March 2016 I report to
Fabrizio Padua, Alliance, Channels and Academic CEE Regional Director.
My main goals and activities in these eight years were:
• Increase the number of professors and students with SAS knowledge
• Improve the relationships between SAS, Universities and SAS Customers\prospects.
• Manage SAS renewals (and some new sales) for Teaching and Research within the University.
• Organize and coordinate academic events:
• SAS Campus (Italian Universities, Research and Business meet to share new ideas),
• University Challenge SAS
• SAS Excellence Day
My main successes during the last years were:
• Improve the relationship with professors who are using SAS in their courses and Masters creating a SAS path course to help
their students to achieve SAS certification. Students who have passed the SAS Certification examination can decide whether to
appear on the web page in which the names of all the students who have obtained a SAS certification are listed.
• Connect students and recent graduates who are looking for internship or a job, with SAS Partners and SAS Customers who are
looking for young Data Scientists.
• SAS Job Speed dating as an integral part of SAS Academic event: SAS Campus, SAS university excellence, SAS Data scientist
session of SAS Forum Milan.
• It is suggested to all the SAS Customers and SAS Partners who are looking for students or recent graduates with SAS
knowledge to visit this web page that list students with the SAS Certification
