National Rally 2016 wonderful weekend for Mercedes-Benz owners and was a great piece of teamwork. This photo was taken on the Sea Cliff Bridge, where our Day 2, Kiama drive was scheduled and Mark Hertz’s classic W108 is featured. With the expertise of Corey Rankin, club member and professional photographer and design input of Sakura Sky Media, the cover was born. Sponsors Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific were our major sponsor with a very valuable and generous $10,000. Oldtimers Centre was significant cash sponsor of the Rally which we greatly appreciate. Our trusty club supporters Currans/AutoSalon (Sam Movizio), Meguiar’s (Peter Prentice) and West Star Autos (Joe Simons) chipped in with products or sponsored items and John Assarapin and Geoff Hosey made personal donations. Lesley Strauss conducted a Rocks tour. Thank you all. Calendar - Mike Fleming Mike produced an 18 month calendar of spectacular Mercedes-Benz Club cars from around Australia. A picture of a fantastic 1954 green 300S cabriolet in the Mercedes-Benz museum features on the cover and it runs from July 2016 to the end of 2017, so it is current. The Rally calendar was included in the show bag for all participants, as a collectible souvenir of their time in Sydney. Rally calendars are available at Club meetings for $10, or please contact mike.fleming@mbcnsw.org.au to order one now for $10 plus postage.
