Im Forschungsschwerpunkt „Energy<br />

Technologies and Power Systems“ sind<br />

die am Bauhaus Luftfahrt durchgeführten<br />

Untersuchungen zu neuartigen auf<br />

Verbrennungskraft basierenden sowie<br />

alternativen (hybrid-)elektrischen Antriebs-<br />

und Energiesystemen des Flugzeugs<br />

gebündelt. Die technologischen<br />

Herausforderungen insbesondere durch<br />

voll- oder hybrid-elektrische Antriebsund<br />

Energiesysteme werden am Bauhaus<br />

Luftfahrt von den Grundlagen her<br />

aufbauend adressiert, indem relevante<br />

Schlüsseltechnologien des elektrischen<br />

Fliegens identifiziert, zukünftige Potenziale<br />

von Energiewandlern bewertet und<br />

hybride Systeme im Flugzeug konzipiert<br />

und analysiert werden.<br />

The research theme “Energy Technologies<br />

and Power Systems“ established at<br />

Bauhaus Luftfahrt focuses its research<br />

activities on novel combustion-based<br />

and alternative (hybrid-) electric propulsion<br />

and power systems for future aircraft.<br />

The technological challenges, in<br />

particular stipulated by hybrid- or fullelectric<br />

propulsion and energy systems,<br />

are addressed at Bauhaus Luftfahrt from<br />

the basics upwards, i.e., relevant key<br />

technologies for electric flying are being<br />

identified, the future potentials of energy<br />

converters are assessed, and hybrid<br />

systems are conceptually designed and<br />

analyzed at the aircraft level.<br />
