eine Beteiligung an dem auf dem Campus gestarteten
Projekt „AlgenFlugkraft“ zur Erforschung nachhaltiger
Luftfahrtkraftstoffe aus Algen sowie an dem Projekt
„PowerLab“, das sich mit elektrischen Flugzeugantrieben
befasst.
Neue Technologien wurden auch auf der letztjährigen
Internationalen Luft- und Raumfahrtausstellung (ILA)
vom 20. bis 25. Mai in Berlin präsentiert. Hier war
Bauhaus Luftfahrt auf mehreren Ständen seiner Förderer
und Kooperationspartner als Mitaussteller zu Gast,
konnte sich erfolgreich vor internationalem Publikum
präsentieren und der Vernetzung der Branche Vortrieb
leisten.
Ich möchte mich beim Team des Bauhaus Luftfahrt
im Namen des Beirats, der Partner und Förderer für ein
erfolgreiches Jahr 2014 bedanken und wünsche Vorstand
und Mitarbeitern gutes Gelingen für die vielen
spannenden anstehenden Themen sowie das zehnjährige
Jubiläum, die dem Jahr 2015 eine ganz besondere Bedeutung
verleihen werden.
Dear Sir or Madam,
Networks are of essential relevance for aviation
research. The Ludwig Bölkow Campus, established as
the “Bavarian International Campus for Aerospace
and Security“ (BICAS) in March 2012, brings together
key competencies and key players from industry,
university research, and non-university research in
Ottobrunn close to Munich, having enjoyed an
excellent reputation as an aerospace region for
decades. Bauhaus Luftfahrt, a founding member of
the Campus, focuses on aviation and public security
as key research areas.
In May 2014, the logical outcome was that Bauhaus
Luftfahrt moves to the Campus. This location allows
Bauhaus Luftfahrt to even better fulfill its strategic
role as facilitator of research, industry, and politics
as well as to strengthen its cooperation with key
experts and to be a trendsetter for the aviation of the
future. More specifically, Bauhaus Luftfahrt is partner
of the “AlgenFlugkraft” project, focusing on sustainable
fuels from algae, and of the “PowerLab” project,
focusing on electric propulsion systems for aircraft –
both projects already started at the Campus.
New technologies were presented at last year’s ILA
Berlin Air Show from May 20 until May 25. Here,
Bauhaus Luftfahrt was a co-exhibitor at different partner
booths, presenting its research work to a broader
international audience. This allowed Bauhaus Luftfahrt
to further enhance the effective cross-linking of
the aviation sector.
In the name of the advisory board, the partners, and
the sponsors of Bauhaus Luftfahrt, I would like to
thank the entire team of Bauhaus Luftfahrt for a
successful 2014. Furthermore, I would like to give my
best wishes to the Bauhaus Luftfahrt directors and
colleagues for their upcoming projects and for the
tenth anniversary, making 2015 a very special year.
