TYRA BANKS TO MENTOR NEW
SHOW ‘FUNDED’
Former “America’s
Next Top Model” Tyra
Banks has landed a
new TV show “Funded”.
After quitting
“America’s Next Top
Model” and “FABLife”,
the former supermodel
is now tapped
as one of the mentors
in the new Shark
Tank-esque show for
NBC, source said.
Banks, 42, will be
joined by two other
mentors. They are Rob
Dyrdek, the venture
capitalist who holds
21 Guinness World
Records for skateboarding,
and Rohan
Oza, the branding expert
best known for
his work on Vitamin
Water.
The contestants will
be competing for USD
1 million investment.
Banks, Dyrdek and
Oza will mentor one
lucky startup each.
At the end of each
episode, they have to
pitch their ideas to
a venture capitalist.
Only one team will
take home the prize.

LEONARDO DICAPRIO FOUNDATION TO GIVE
$15.6M TO CONSERVE ENVIRONMENT
Leonardo DiCaprio
has long been a champion
for environmental
causes, now he has
announced 15.6 million
dollars in grants
for conservation efforts.
Leonardo Dicaprio
Foundation, which
boasts donations of
more than 59 million
dollars since it
was founded in 1998,
claims it to be the
largest series of donations,
source said
‘The Revenant’ actor
has lobbied world
leaders about climate
change, protecting
wildlife and more.
In a recently statement
released, the
Oscar-winning actor
said he was increasing
the level of grants “to
help solve some of the
world’s most pressing
environmental challenges.”

ANISTON’S ESSAY ON BODY SHAMING
Justin Theroux has
come out in support of
his wife Jennifer Aniston
following her essay
condemning the tabloid
speculation about
her personal life.
On July 13, the
44-year-old ‘Leftovers’
actor posted a playful
image of his 47-yearold
wife as she put up
her hands while sitting
on the side of a bowling
lane and called her his
“woman crush, “source

Alongside the black
and white picture, he
tagged the link to her
article and wrote on Instagram:

Throughout her
five-year relationship
with Theroux, Aniston
has been plagued by
tabloid rumours of a
pregnancy or divorce.
The most recent false
pregnancy story came
via In Touch magazine
in June.
A thoroughly “fedup”
Aniston addressed
the warped perception
of single women or
those without children
perpetuated by the industry.
In her essay for
the Huffington Post, the
‘F.R.I.E.N.D.S’ actress
wrote, “I’m fed up with
the sport-like scrutiny
and body shaming that
occurs daily under the
guise of ‘journalism’,
the ‘First Amendment’
and ‘celebrity news’.”
“We use celebrity
‘news’ to perpetuate
this dehumanising
view of females, focused
solely on one’s
physical appearance,
which tabloids turn
into a sporting event
of speculation. Is she
pregnant? Is she eating
too much? Has she
let herself go? Is her

because the camera

TERROR ATTACK
Following the horrific
Bastille Day attack
in the French Riviera
city that killed at least
80 people on Thursday
night, Bollywood
took to their respective
Twitter handles to condemn
the terror attack
in Nice, France.

of the Nice attack

A truck ploughed
into a crowd in the
French resort of Nice,
leaving at least 80 dead
and scores injured in
an attack after a Bastille
Day fireworks display.
Estrosi said flags
would be lowered
across the city on Friday.
The truck driver has
been identified as Nice
Matin, a man of Tunisian
origin from Nice.
His identity papers
were found in the cab
of the lorry.source said
Reportedly, the man,
believed to be 31, fired
on crowds of people
before he was shot
dead by police.
Residents have been
told to stay indoors as
the emergency services
work at the scene.

NOMINATIONS
Once
again,
the power-andblood
fantasy
saga
‘Game of
Thrones’
hails with
23 Nominations
in
the 68th
annual
Prime
t i m e
Emmy Awards.
While the show received
a record 12 Emmys
last season, this year too it
bags nominations for an
array of categories including
outstanding ‘Dramatic
series’ and ‘Outstanding
Lead Actress in a Drama’
for Emilia Clark, source
said.
The HBO’s fantasy epic
that completed its sixth
season, received 24 nominations
last year and won
its first Emmy for ‘best
drama.’
With 23 nominations
this time the total number
of nominations for the series
presently has gone up
to 104.
Along with GOT, ‘Modern
Family’ and Julia
Louis-Dreyfus once again
bagged most number of
nominations.
‘Veep’ with 17 nominations,
was the comedy
leader.
Popular shows like ‘The
People v. O.J. Simpson,’
‘Roots’ and ‘Fargo’ pulled
drew attention to the limited
series category.
James Corden appeared
to be a competition in
the late-night shows and
widely praised ‘The Americans’
got recognised in
the ‘best drama’ category.
With a total 94 nominations,
HBO, for the 16th
consecutive year receives
highest number of nominations
among all other
networks.
The 2016 Emmy
Awards ceremony will
take place on September
18 in Los Angeles.
MARIAH CAREY’S EX-NICK
CANNON LINKED TO TLC’S CHILLI
Looks like Mariah Carey’s
former husband and
rapper Nick Cannon has
decided to move on and
it’s with TLC star Rozondo
‘Chilli’ Thomas.
According to sources,
the two have been “hanging
out on the low” and are
bonded over their passion
for music,”
“They have been friends
for some time and just recently
this summer they
have been hanging out
romantically,” the source
added.
The sources further reveals,
“Chilli is a very mature
woman that’s been
around the music industry
for some time and gets
it, Nick has always had a
crush on her growing up.
He thinks she is beautiful.”
Pointing out at the
35-year-old rapper,
known for his attraction
for older women, the report
also says the two
have no clues of a serious
relation and it’s only at the
fling stage.
“They are not an exclusive
couple at this time
just causally hanging out
and seeing where things

Meanwhile, Cannon
has also filed for a divorce
from Carey in 2015.
YAMI DODGES ‘DISGUSTING’ QUESTIONS
ON SHWETA’S ‘HOME-BREAKER’ REMARK
Though Pulkit Samrat’s
estranged wife sweta Rohira
branded her as a “home
breaker,” Yami Gautam preferred
maintaining silence
over this much-controversial
tiff between the trio.
According to Pinkvilla,
when the ‘Sanam Re’ actress
was recently quizzed on this
allegation, she dodged the
question as it was “disgusting.”
“I will tell you what. We are
here for a beautiful occasion.
Why do you ask a disgusting
question, I will not answer
that. Don’t ask me these disgusting
questions and as long
as you don’t change your
question, I won’t change my
answer,” she said at an event,
where she walked the ramp
for designer Anita Dongre.
For the unversed, Pulkit
recently stated that Yami was
not the cause for the break up
between him and his wife.
To this, Shweta differed
and maintained, “She (Yami
Gupta) is a home-breaker
there is no doubt about
that. I am not saying people
don’t fall out of love. But you
should do it in a dignified way
without putting the blame on
me. If I really had to put out
things, I was your hidden
wife for 5 years, and then I
would have put a lot out. You
are doing everything, you are
talking about it and then you
are saying I want to put the
other woman down. How is
that?”
With this, she added that
though not legally, she is energetically
divorced and does
not want to be called “estranged
wife” anymore.
“We may not have had a
legal divorce but after Pulkit
stooped down to whatever
level, energetically I am divorced.
I am no more Pulkit’s
wife or estranged wife. I want
to request everyone to please
stop calling me an estranged
wife of Pulkit Samrat and
give me a closure, I will be
more than happy when that
happens,” she said.
Though she alleged Yami
to be a “home breaker,” she
even thanked her for bringing
out the ‘Junooniyat’ actor’s
“true colour.”
This came after Pulkit had
accused Shweta of using her
miscarriage incident to gain
sympathy.
