Market
Although health regulations
only permit assistance
animals at the market, pets
are not forgotten at the market.
Unique pet foods and
treats are available. One
booth keeps in step with
the market’s farm-to-table
theme by providing fresh,
locally sourced, all-natural
pet food. Another offers
unique handmade dog cookies
such as mango-based
dog biscuits, sweet potato
chew yam chips, duck-treats
and lemon-zest chewies.
The market also includes
booths offering products
left the store briefly then
came back inside, with
the female suspect carrying
an empty bag. The two
suspects later walked out
of the store, and the female
suspect’s bag looked
full. An employee went
to the liquor section and
noticed that 11 bottles of
tequila worth over $1,000
were missing.
July 7-12
• On Cliffside Drive, 50
gallons of diesel fuel went
missing from a construction
site where a home
was being built. The pump
that contained the fuel
was full on July 7. But
from all over the world for
those with every interest.
Stop by the African women’s
co-op store featuring
baskets, tapestries, hats, and
hampers from Botswana,
Nigeria, Uganda, Ethiopia
and Madagascar. Soon,
ladies from the co-ops in
those countries will offer to
teach workshops in basketmaking,
one of a plethora
reasons for coming back.
Malibuites shouldn’t miss
the booth offering oil-based
products for sunscreen, bug
sprays and body scents.
That booth also offers car
diffusers that use cold water
sonics and oils of choice.
Be sure to cruise by the
jeweler, whose indigenous
when the victim returned
on July 12, the pump was
empty.
July 7
• At Leo Carrillo State
Beach in the 35000 block
of PCH, an iPhone and
wireless speaker were
allegedly stolen from a
woman’s car. The woman
reportedly parked and
locked car at beach. When
she returned, she saw her
right rear passenger window
shattered and vehicle
ransacked. The items were
also missing from the center
console.
July 5-6
• On Colony Road, a
refrigerator and two barbecues
were allegedly
stolen. A man rented the
owner makes jewelry with
old trade beads continuing
the traditions of New Mexican
Pueblo Indians. A story
teller there makes dreamcatchers
you can take home,
while a nearby booth offers
crystals and stones for meditation
as well as for home
decor.
A short drive from the
beach or Pepperdine, Malibu
residents can enjoy the
Malibu Farmer’s Market
from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. any
Sunday. Ample, easy parking
that was scheduled
to it up July 6. The man
thought it was July 5.
When the company did
not come on July 5, the
equipment was left outside.
When the company
arrived July 6 to pick up
the equipment, it had gone
missing.
