Chart 9 shows the Revenue and Expenditure actuals for 2014-15; Budgeted amounts for 2015-16,
Estimates for 2015-16; and budgeted amounts for 2016-17
items offered in the concession
area for the 2016-17 season.
Capital Outlay
Capital Outlay is $152,427 higher
than the 2015-16 estimate. The
2015-16 capital outlay budget
contains infrastructure
improvements that reflect a
purposeful spend down of
accumulated fund balance. The
2016-17 budget contains some
significant capital outlay such as
the repair of the waterfall
feature, a new pool pump, the
replacement of a large number
of lounge chairs and the
repainting of many waterslides.
Removing these expenditures
would result in a positive net
revenue of $33,649 for the
Aquatic Center budget.
Overall -
The total net results for Aquatic
Center operations is $69,180
lower than the 2015-16 year end
estimate due to the significant
amount budgeted for capital
outlay. Less capital outlay, the
total net results for the Aquatic
Center operations is $83,247
higher than the 2015-16 year end
estimate. The general thought
process in putting together the
2016-17 budget is to look at
attendance numbers for the past
several years to average out all
weather effects while taking
advantage of all expenditure
efficiencies learned in the past.
