Ultra Tile, the tile adhesives, grouts and ancillaries brand from the UK manufacturer Instarmac Group, were delighted to support club sponsors and long-standing customer, Anglo Italian. The team's busy clubhouse was completely refurbished during a five month window, prior to the start of the Rugby World Cup. Anglo Italian tiled all floors and washroom walls using Italian mixed porcelain tiles and Ultra Tile FibreGrip FX in grey. Joint finishing was completed using Ultra Tile FlexJoint grout in Grey. | Floors, Walls & Ceilings Forbo helps to create dynamic workspace for Qlik at Tower 42 When refurbishing and refitting any offce, getting the interior design right is crucial as it forms the face of the company and can have a direct impact on the creativity and performance of its employees. A selection of stylish carpet and vinyl tiles from Forbo Flooring Systems has helped to create a distinctive and dynamic environment for leading data solutions company Qlik: a workspace that clearly reflects its brand values and personality at its newly refitted offces at Tower 42 in London. Colour, texture, simplicity in design and seamless functionality all have a part to play in this interior design scheme, which sets the company apart from the surrounding financial service providers in the building, formerly known as National Westminster Tower. Mark Crick, Design Director of Crisp Designed Ltd, appointed to design and refit the offices explains: “The client wanted an interior that was different, yet professionally welcoming to clients, so we came up with several bright and zany designs. We had a strict budget and deadline to work to, so it was important to use a reliable and efficient flooring manufacturer. Having worked a lot with Forbo before, we knew this was a project that would suit their comprehensive portfolio. In particular, using Forbo allowed us to integrate the requested corporate branding and specify bespoke colour options.” Tessera Alignment, a sophisticated and cleverly textured cut and loop carpet tile, was specified in the popular nucleus colour throughout the main office space. This was peppered with a perfectly co-ordinated Alignment carpet tile featuring a daring vivid green accent colour. Designed to complement the most contemporary commercial interiors, Alignment has a multi-height loop construction with a bold directional theme, tempered by the introduction of intersecting random blocks of rich cut pile. Breakout zones and other feature areas were emphasised with luxurious fusion bonded “This was a challenging brief in terms of balancing the vibrant and dynamic vision with the budget but Forbo hit the mark for us” Westbond carpet tiles. Organic curves and fluid wavy lines were cut into the floor space in bright lime green, jet black and anthracite to mirror the curvilinear furniture, all designed to contrast with the angular shaped building. The dense and plush nature of these cut pile tiles has added texture to the floor space and helped to maintain excellent acoustic levels.
