Relcross are automatic choice for Harper Adams University
Specialist installer Rowsman Ltd. have installed 25 Relcross LCN Auto
Equalizers around Harper Adams University campus, to provide occasional
automatic opening for doors designed primarily for manual operation. The
six latest to be installed are all in their new Agricultural Engineering
Innovation Centre.
Harper Adams University recognised that some of their staff and students
would struggle to operate some of the doors encountered in the course of
their normal daily routines, so they have been steadily installing LCN Auto
Equalizers. These can be activated in a variety of ways including wall
mounted push buttons and wheelchair mounted fobs.
The pneumatically powered Auto Equalizer silently pushes or pulls the door
open depending on which side of the door it is mounted; after a short
delay the integral traditional door closer takes over to close the door and
complete the cycle.

The revolving door has many advantages
over the traditional hinged door. Not only
more energy efficient than regular doors,
they help to keep the cost of heating and
cooling to a minimum. When manual doors
are opened a large amount of air can escape
the building; a revolving door can help to
eliminate this as the amount of air that
escapes whilst the door wings of a revolving
door circulates is minimal. In this way, drafts
are reduced and your lobby area is kept at a
comfortable temperature.
