Jewel & Esk College
Edinburgh Campus
The Edinburgh Campus has been extensively refurbished
and modernised with the addition of significant new build
elements. We advised the College to bring together a collage
of lifestyle and learning activities into one new bespoke
building, now known as “The Club”. Within the College
masterplan the Club is located at the “front door” of the
campus acting as a new gateway and providing a clear and
welcoming interface with the public and local community.
Jewel & Esk College
Midlothian Campus
The Midlothian Campus has been completely rebuilt with
new state of the art teaching facilities and a new trades
pavilion housing a diverse range of training workshops.
Adam Smith College
Kirkaldy, UK
Client : Fife College
Value: £18,976,000
Floor Area: 12,000 sqm
The campus is located in the historic town centre of
Kirkcaldy and our architectural solution found a balance
between the civic setting and the contemporary image of
the College.
A five storey glazed tower signifies the entrance to the
campus, complementary in scale to the surrounding
historic roof-tops and towers. Two dramatic multi-storey
spaces have been created internally. ‘The Atrium’ sits
within the retained listed building, whilst ‘The Street’
separates old from new.
