ECOSpace is the UK’s first centre for sustainable
construction. The centre’s key goal is to lead the way in
training for sustainable development in construction by
encouraging environmentally sustainable work practices. It
features a suite of restoration workshops which are training
future craftspeople to redevelop many of the traditional
construction crafts. ECOSpace is also home to the ASPIRE
Centre, a new concept that has created real life and work
learning environments for students with severe learning
difficulties. This facility enables learners to become
confident and skilled for a more independent and
rewarding life.
The Music Box creates a new music and performing
arts centre for Stevenson College in Edinburgh.
The new two-storey building houses a 120-seat
multi-purpose auditorium, a recording suite, a range
of rehearsal and music tutorial rooms, individual music
practice booths and a dance studio.
The school is designed to encourage synergy and crossfertilisation
between activities, students and the public.
