Abstract
In this report we will discuss the collaboration between the
WaterBike team of Moonwalk Tomorrow and master students at
NTNU for developing the best strategic plan for the WaterBike
project. The NTNU team consist of Rune Sagvolden, Trine
Rydningen Kirkhaug, Gergana Tatarova and Andrea Mayordomo
Amoró, all fourth years students at NTNU. The Waterbike
team will get an further introduction later on, but shortly told,
Waterbike aim to make a safe and reliable transport of water
to people living in rural areas without instant access to a water
source.
BACKGROUND
Around the world today there is a massive lack of access to clean
water. According to Water.org 1 as many as 1 of 10 lack access
to safe to drink water. Even if there is a clean source, it is not
close to everyone. The consequences of this is that people use
unnecessary long time walking to a water source and bringing
the water back home. Illnesses from polluted water sources is
also a huge problem the same goes for problems related to
shortcome of water. The WaterBike team has used this as their
starting point to develop a service around water bringing to the
vulnerable areas.
OBJECTIVE
The goal has been divided between analysing the service to
suggest what we find to be best practise to make it work, and
also to help develop product concepts for the bike and water
containers. There has also been an issue finding out which areas
are best to launch the project.
METHODS
Since it is a service design project, we have decided to choose
