#42 - Collaborative Class Essay<br />
<strong>Google</strong> docs is a great way <strong>to</strong> build understand<strong>in</strong>g of essay<br />
structure and communicate content.<br />
Students can be asked <strong>in</strong> groups, <strong>to</strong> write an essay <strong>to</strong>ge<strong>the</strong>r<br />
onl<strong>in</strong>e. This means that students can be judg<strong>in</strong>g and edit<strong>in</strong>g<br />
each o<strong>the</strong>rs work, and add<strong>in</strong>g depth <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> essay. I have done<br />
this with Stage 6 Industrial Tech, and found that those<br />
students that have not reached <strong>the</strong> required level yet, f<strong>in</strong>d it as<br />
a good resource, as <strong>the</strong>y must offer ideas at a basic level, and<br />
high level students th<strong>in</strong>k about l<strong>in</strong>kage of ideas, which <strong>the</strong>n<br />
models this for o<strong>the</strong>r students.<br />
