I encountered a fire in my childhood home, so I am able to speak from experience<br />
about the dangers of fire. Before I realized it, the smoke became even more dangerous<br />
than the fire. My family lost almost everything and we were without a home for almost<br />
a year. In fact, we never moved back into that house.<br />
If we had fire sprinklers, it would have been a much better situation. Fire sprinklers<br />
are individually activated by heat so they don’t all activate at once. They control or<br />
extinguish a fire while it is still small, prevent the spread of toxic smoke and allow<br />
residents to safely escape.<br />
