The 2016 National Horticultural<br />

and Innovation Expo was a<br />

two-day event held in Gatton,<br />

Queensland. Organised by<br />

Lockyer Valley Growers,<br />

the expo showcased new<br />

seed varieties, machinery<br />

The event was an<br />

overwhelming success and a<br />

great method of linking growers<br />

to all those involved in the<br />

horticultural supply chain. Hort<br />

Innovation had a booth over the<br />

two days where the National<br />

Vegetable Extension Network<br />

Banner was premiered and the<br />

conversation started.<br />

RIPPA the robot was a big hit,<br />

and once growers learnt that<br />

the robot was a levy-funded<br />

research output, they were keen<br />

to hear more of what R&D has<br />

occurred with their levy dollars.<br />
