The world’s longest carrot was presented at the UK<br />

National Giant Vegetable Championship in Somerset on<br />

2 September 2007. The carrot, measuring 5.841 metres,<br />

achieved the Guinness World Record and was grown by<br />

Joe Atherton from the UK.<br />

The latest Economic Confidence Survey found grower confidence in<br />

the industry increased by over 32 per cent during the April to June<br />

2016 quarter when compared to the previous quarter.<br />

Project Harvest Wave 36 reported that capsicum is consumed<br />

on average 10 times per month and is purchased mainly from<br />

mainstream and specialist retailers.<br />
