Want to list an app on AppSource? Here’s the criteria it needs to meet: » Your app must allow federated single sign-on with Azure Active Directory. » Your app must be: SaaS app focused customers turnkey solution (no customization required) in with their work credentials (user name and password) » A customer must be able to use your app for free for a limited time. » Your app must include a support help. » 99.9 percent. As for the follow-up, we’re in the process of starting to send out surveys to the leads we’ve handed off to Partners to see what their experience was with AppSource and the trial, which will help us get more insight. TPC: Do Partners have visibility into the number of views or clicks they or their app receive on AppSource? JD: We have telemetry outlining how business users are interacting with AppSource, the apps, and the marketing content. We’re working through how we make the appropriate telemetry available to ISVs so they can continue to refine their marketing content to drive trials. TPC: How many apps are listed to date? JD: We had more than 200 apps at WPC, and as of early September, we have 226 apps listed. Our launch at WPC drove a massive amount of interest, and we’re actively working through the backlog of getting these new Partners and their apps published. In parallel we are also seeing that ISVs who had already published an app onto AppSource have started to add additional apps as they begin to see the benefits. TPC: I hope they do see that value. Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers? JD: AppSource and the Microsoft cloud will accelerate the ability of ISVs to easily build intelligent and differentiated apps. For example, if a Partner wants to add BI into their app, they can easily integrate Power BI. If they want to automate a workflow, they can add in a Microsoft Flow. If they want to add a predictive element, they can integrate Cortana Intelligence. Those assets are available to Partners to add into the app at any time, which is different than what a Partner would see from a competitor, as those technologies wouldn’t be readily available.
