<strong>The</strong> beauty of AppSource is that you’ll have packages that tie<br />

into Azure, Microsoft Dynamics AX, and Microsoft Dynamics<br />

CRM in one install, and Microsoft will help with that plumbing<br />

on the back end to tie those technologies together.<br />

That’s where the future will be, and those <strong>Partner</strong>s who want<br />

to have relevance in the channel will have to have pretty good<br />

visibility in AppSource.<br />

We put a lot of effort into making sure we were out there<br />

when it went live, and I’m a firm believer that you have to give<br />

people the ability to get into the market in a fashion like that.<br />

This will give ISVs more of a platform to showcase solutions<br />

and be found.<br />

<strong>The</strong> challenge in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM space is that<br />

<strong>Partner</strong>s have wanted us to go out and pitch their solutions. If<br />

ISVs can be in the driver seat and drive those conversations, you<br />

have <strong>Partner</strong>s lining up to be their “go-to” people.<br />

Another thing this will do is get the broader base in Microsoft<br />

to understand the mindset that drives business app success for<br />

our customers. <strong>The</strong>y haven’t had to think about it for Azure,<br />

but in Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Microsoft Dynamics ERP,<br />

without the <strong>Partner</strong>, it’s a different business.<br />

It’s definitely a year of change.<br />
