at all times, and as the venue is small it always appears crowded. There are three parts
to the Cavern Experience – the Club, the Lounge and the Pub; while the adjoining
Club and Lounge are fully accessible, the Pub (which also has lots of memorabilia) is
downstairs across the road, and has no lift so no wheelchair or scooter access.
FOOD & DRINK aa There is a fully equipped bar in the Club, but unfortunately only the
inaccessible Cavern Pub sells food. Head instead to one of the many food outlets at the
nearby Albert Docks (also home to the Beatles Experience, museums, galleries and
shops), or the Liverpool One complex, both only half a mile away.

THE NORTHWEST
Originally redeveloped in the 1980s, the Albert Dock has become a major tourist
attraction. The complex sits on the banks of the River Mersey, with views, walks, grassy
areas to play and picnic on, and a clutch of outstanding museums.
The Merseyside Maritime Museum and International Slavery Museum (both www.
liverpoolmuseums.org.uk) are magnificent, with several floors of superb exhibits and
