Deacon Fields was a
prominent and outstanding
deacon.
He took care of Athens church
business. He was a deacon
second to none. Loyal and
highly respected by all. A
deacon indeed.
He was concerned about his
Pastor and made sure we
were taken care of.

Amazing! She always looked
to
please God and not man.
Sister Glenn taught me to put
God first. He will never let
you down. Every word she
uttered was beneficial to the
soul.

Pastor V. Glenn was one of
those women that spoke soft
but knew j ust what to say.
I remember when I wanted to
leave the church; she would
say with that soft voice, I
know, but pray about it.
I also remember when we
didn't have an organ. Sister
Glen got on that piano and
made that thing talk! We had
some church.
She had the prettiest hair
and the best smelling
perfume. I miss her.

Mother Glenn was a prayer
warrior. She was patient
and kind. She wanted
everybody to understand
that God Loves you and she
loved you. Mother Glenn
did it by example not j ust
words. She always had
words of encouragement
and could make you smile!

Mother Glenn loved all of us
(The Franklin Family). Even
my older cousins remember
her.

Sister Voyd Glen from
Cincinnati, Ohio, made an
impression on my life.
This mother took me under
her wings and took me to be
her daughter.
