Sister Mary Roach
Sister Roach was always so
meek and humble.
She was kind and sweet. Just
seeing her made me
smile.
Bishop and she were a
cute little couple.

Bishop and Sister Roach
are two (2) of my
favorite people.
They truly loved each
other and their family;
wonderful examples of
Christian parents.
I loved to hear his
stories about the
children when they
were young, like the time
Sister Roach let one of the
boys go to a game and he got
hurt - Bishop j ust felt like he
shouldn't go this particular
time......
Bishop loved good preaching.
Once he introduced me to his
daughter, Vivian. As she
walked into the auditorium,
he said to me, "That girl can
preach, I mean she can go".
He said the same thing about
one of his grand daughters.
She really could preach. He
let her preach during one of
our Sunday School
Conventions.
One time in between services
in an Annual Convention, he
asked me why didn't I preach.
I explained that I had
worked that out a long time
ago with the Lord. I didn't
want the Lord to call me to
preach. I told Him I 'd be a
good missionary for Him.
Bishop said, "I bet you could
squawk if you did preach". I
laughed and he smiled & left.
Bishop had so much
wisdom. One time he
preached about a
remnant. He was
concerned about this
Fire Baptized
Church and where it
is headed. He
wanted to make sure
that we stuck to the
principles of
Holiness so that we
could make it to
Heaven. But no
matter what we did,
Bishopt was
determined to make
it to the City.
Sister Roach always
quietly looked after Bishop.
Sometimes she would whisper
to me to do certain things
that would help the
convention.
I always enj oyed her
testimonies. I loved how she
would reflect on her words
and say, "Yes, Yes". Just a
beautiful woman.
