A LITTLE HISTORY The Episcopacy "The ecclesiastical unit in episcopacy is a diocese, comprising many churches and ruled by a prelate ....." OUR BISHOPS According to the history of the FBH Church our Founder, Bishop William Edward Fuller Sr., was the Presiding Prelate* of the entire church including the Ohios until January 1958. Bishop William Edward Fuller Jr. was elected as bishop in the 17th General Council. He was our Presiding Prelate until 1966. In 1966 Elder Abraham Lincoln McCracken was elevated to the office of Bishop and assigned to the 4th Episcopal Diocese which included our districts. In 1970 we became the 2nd Episcopal Diocese with Bishop McCracken continuing at the helm. Bishop McCracken passed away in 1978. Elder Nathaniel T. Scott was elected as our bishop that same year in the 22nd General Council. Bishop Scott retired in June 1994 in the 26th General Council. Elder Nathaniel Jeremiah Roach was elected as 4 The Encomium our Bishop and assigned to the 3rd Episcopal Diocese. Bishop N.J. Roach retired during the 30th General Council. Elder Alonzo Lee Rodgers was elected as our bishop in June 2010. Bishop Rodgers was reassigned as the Presiding Prelate of the 3rd Episcopal Diocese at the 31st General Council in June, 2014. To God be the glory for the things He has done! Bishop W.E. Fuller Sr. 1898 - 1958 *Bishop Fuller Sr. was the General Overseer of our church until elevated to the office of Bishop in 1922.
