A THANKSGIVING
MESSAGE FROM
YOUR MAYOR
It’s that time of year when we join
family and friends, over some turkey
and all the fixings, to give
thanks and appreciate
one another and all of
life’s blessings. This year’s
tradition is remindful of
how thankful I am for
many facets of my life,
including the
opportunity to serve as
your Mayor of the best
city in the country.

in their community. The
strength of our city comes from you,
our residents. There is a tremendous
sense of energy and enthusiasm in our
Village. It’s deeply inspiring to see, and
reaffirms our Village spirit that makes
our community a special place to live.
As a reminder, City Hall will be closed
in observance of the Thanksgiving
holiday on Thursday, November 24
and Friday, November 25. Regular
business hours will resume Monday,
November 28.
Thankful to live in Greenwood
Village. I wish you and your family a
safe and happy Thanksgiving!
INTRODUCING CUB
SCOUT TROOP 664
The City Council and I welcomed
Cub Scout Troop 664 as our special
guests at the City Council Study
Session on October 17. The young
Cub Scouts, from Littleton Public
Schools, conducted the honors of
leading us in the Pledge of Allegiance
to begin the meeting. Our recital while
facing the flag is our ongoing pledge
of our loyalty
to this country
as Americans.
It was great to
see these young
Scouts at our
meeting and be
part of a
worldwide
youth
movement that
stands for
certain values
and beliefs, and
helping others.
Cub Scouting is more than something
to do. It’s all about the boy they are,
and the man they will become. There
are many Cub Scout Troops that serve
the Greenwood Village area; we value
what they do and the spirit they have
for community service.
