Kettle workers become the face of The Salvation Army during kettle season.
We request neat and appropriate attire and behavior of our workers while
standing at our kettle sites. We ask that workers uphold the respectable image
and conduct of one of America’s most trusted charities, The Salvation Army.
Thank you for your cooperation and your great service during this holiday
season!
Things TO wear:
1) Holiday clothing, feel the spirit of the season and dress up in fun
sweaters, red & green, or any other holiday themed outfit!
2) Uniforms, if you are part of a group that wears a uniform (Boy Scouts,
Girl Scouts, etc…) please wear your uniform!
3) Are you bell ringing with a friend? Wear matching or complementing
outfits!
4) Sweater or jacket and comfortable shoes.
5) Clean & properly-­‐‐fitted clothing.
6) Most of all, wear something that presents a respectable image.
Things NOT to wear:
1) Clothing that advertises, depicts, or glorifies alcohol, tobacco, drugs,
obscenities/profanities, violence, illegal activities, gangs or prison life.
2) Clothing that features discriminatory or prejudiced slogans or symbols.
3) Tube tops, halter tops, or thin/spaghetti strapped tops.
4) Low cut, see-­‐‐through, or midriff showing tops.
5) SHORT shorts or SHORT skirts.
6) Pants/shorts/skirts that “sag” or show underwear.
7) Undershirt tank tops.
8) Items or accessories that can be used as weapons such as long chains,
spiked collars, etc.
9) Sweatpants.
10) Jeans.
