judged within two age categories – adult and youth (under age 18). A panel of judges – comprised of<br />
refuge staff and experienced photographers – will select this year’s contest winners. The winners will be<br />
announced during the refuge’s annual Conservation Film Festival (March 3-5, 2017). Hunt’s Photo, a<br />
contest co-sponsor, will once again provide the prizes for winners in the various contest categories. The<br />
winning contest entries will be placed on exhibit in the refuge visitor center for the next year. Contest<br />
participants may submit up to two prints. A $5 application fee will cover one or two entries. Maximum<br />
allowable print size is 8” x 10”. Prints can either be mailed to or dropped off at the refuge visitor center,<br />
seven days per week, between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00 pm. The visitor center is located at 6 Plum<br />
Island Turnpike, Newburyport, MA, 01950. All prints must be presented in a white matte. A complete<br />

leading up to and during the Conservation Film Festival. The fifth<br />

ROWLEY – “We need a little Christmas” musical performance<br />
Saturday, December 3, at 2 p.m. Join us at the Rowley Public Library<br />
on Saturday, December 3 at 2 p.m. for some live music as vocalist<br />
Will McMillan and pianist Joe Reid return to perform beloved<br />
holiday songs. Many of our favorites were written or co-written<br />
by Jewish songwriters. We’ll hear hits like “Silver Bells,” “White<br />
Christmas,” and “Winter Wonderland” and hear a few stories behind<br />
the music. Pianist Joe Reid enjoys a busy music career, performing<br />
with a wide range of jazz and classical musicians. Will McMillan has<br />
performed as a featured vocalist at venues such as Scullers Jazz Club,<br />
Sanders Theatre, and the John F. Kennedy Library and has released<br />
four CDs. The Rowley Public Library is located at 141 Main Street<br />

ROWLEY - 5th ANNUAL HOLIDAY BASKET RAFFLE: The<br />
Friends of the Rowley Public Library are planning the 5th Annual<br />
Holiday Basket Raffle. We need your help to collect some exciting<br />
prizes. Please contribute a basket of goodies with a regular retail<br />
value of at least $50. It can include your own products or other fun<br />
items related to a specific theme. Baskets can be gifts for Christmas,<br />
Hanukah or New Year’s. They might contain the tools to start a new<br />
hobby or keep a resolution. If you are unable to donate a complete<br />
basket, consider donating a gift card for our popular gift card tree.<br />
NOTE: Because the baskets will be on display in the Library for<br />
four weeks, we cannot accept donations of tobacco, alcohol or<br />
perishable items. All baskets will be on display (along with your<br />
organization’s name) at the Rowley Public Library from November<br />
19 to December 17. Donations are due November 15. Take this<br />
opportunity to highlight your group’s products or services and<br />
promote awareness of your organization. Have fun with your family<br />
while building a creative basket. Raffle tickets will be sold at the<br />
Library starting November 19. The drawing will be on December<br />
17 at a reception at the Rowley Public Library. Come enjoy some<br />
