Well done to Jack Powell (7G)
who managed to achieve his first
podium finish in a junior triathlon.
Jack is pictured with a bronze
medal but actually received a
silver as the judges mixed up the
times. A fantastic
achievement....look out the
Brownlee brothers!!!
Bethan Marsden (11O) competed in the
Regional Final of the Open Mic UK Competition
in Cardiff recently. She was given a Showcase
Award and has been invited to a meeting with
one of the judges, a music industry producer, in
his recording studio. Please click here to view.
Well done Bethan!
This week I have been talking to Mr Clarke about Drama.
Mr Clarke has told me that his drama club meets on a Friday and they have been working on a short play to perform in
the Christmas concert. In the next few weeks they will be launching this year’s new musical in assemblies.
Mr Clarke’s Star Pupils: Emma Beaumont, Esme McCarthy & Robbie Seward …….. are my stars that go to Bristol Old Vic.
Year 7 star pupil is Josh Pook because he can do a really good Scottish accent!
Year 8 star pupil is Mac Elmorssy - he is playing the narrator in Sweenie Todd
Year 9 star pupil is Ashonte Ferguson
Year 10 star pupil is Sophie Harris because she directed half the class
Year 11 star pupil is Neve Shorter
In Year 7 we have been focusing on the haunted house topic, in Year 8 we have been focusing on Sweenie Todd the
barber from hell, in Year 9 we have been focusing on the topic Dystopia and Year 11 consequences.
