As we head towards <strong>the</strong> end of <strong>the</strong> year, I can safely say th<strong>is</strong><br />
year has been a fantastic year for Teletimes and <strong>the</strong> industry.<br />
We have taken many leaps forward as move into a Smart Future<br />
filled with Smart Cities and broadband economies. Taking<br />
<strong>the</strong> lead in Smart Cities, Dubai has been at <strong>the</strong> forefront of<br />
technology implementation. Dr. A<strong>is</strong>ha Bin B<strong>is</strong>hr, Director General<br />
of <strong>the</strong> Smart Dubai Office was kind enough to give an exclusive<br />
interview to Teletimes in which she spoke about <strong>the</strong> v<strong>is</strong>ion behind<br />
th<strong>is</strong> Smart City and where it’s currently heading.<br />
Taking <strong>the</strong> prom<strong>is</strong>e of broadband beyond <strong>the</strong> reach of traditional<br />
networks – Intelsat has emerged as a leader in satellite<br />
communications worldwide over <strong>the</strong> past years. With <strong>the</strong> recent<br />
launch of two satellites, it was <strong>the</strong> right time to catch up with<br />
CEO Stephen Spengler about Intelsat’s current operations<br />
and future plans. I would like to tell you that Stephen seldom<br />
speaks out in such details, and hence th<strong>is</strong> feature <strong>is</strong> definitely<br />
recommended for all.<br />
