The Abertillery Primary School north of Newport and just South of
Abergavenny in Wales provides that all essential ‘great start’ for children.
It’s a primary school centric to the community it serves.
The new Abertillery Primary School has been built on the existing school
site and serves pupils from the existing Abertillery and the Blaentillery
school catchment areas. Cardiff-based Willmott Dixon Construction were
awarded the contract to carry out pre-construction works. It would be a

Wetherspoon’s lifeboat to the rescue for special needs
Residents of and visitors to one of Lancashire’s most popular resort towns
can be sure all their needs are met at the new JD Wetherspoon pub in
Formby.
The Lifeboat- formerly the town’s Conservative Club and named by local residents
to reflect the town’s historic association with the RNLI- opens its doors this summer
and features the first Changing Places assisted accessible toilet in the town.
Supplied and installed by Clos-o-Mat, the Changing Places means children and
adults who needs a carer’s help with their personal hygiene has the appropriate
space and equipment to do so hygienically. The alternative would be to curtail their
visit, lie their loved one on the toilet floor to change them, or not be able to enjoy a
relaxing drink and meal out with friends and family.
Bigger than conventional wheelchair-accessible toilet, the Changing Places also has
a hoist, adult-sized height adjustable changing bench and privacy screen as
standard. JD Wetherspoon has conveniently located it adjacent to The Lifeboat’s other WC facilities. Users simply need a RADAR key to enter.
