Ukelele Concert
The Princess Court Ukelele Band
Roy, DBUK volunteer and
member of the Princess Court
Ukelele Band, rallied up his
fellow musicians to put on a
concert for everyone at the
Trinity Centre in Llandudno.
The event, held in August,
raised funds for local deafblind
groups. It was organised by
DBUK members and
volunteers with the help of
outreach officer, Mike. The
general public, members,
volunteers and special guest
Cllr. Carol Marubbi, Mayor of
Llandudno, all went along to
support DBUK and join in the
fun!
The ukelele band was excellent
and played a selection of old
favourites, so everyone had a
good singalong whilst enjoying
delicious tea and homemade
cakes. When the concert was
over there was time to look
around the stalls which were
selling all sorts of goodies
including plants, gifts and even
crafts made by DBUK
members and volunteers.
The event was a huge success
and raised over £250 for local
deafblind groups.
