Christmas<br />

Eggnog<br />

An indulgent Christmas drink<br />

with egg yolks and brandy,<br />

especially for Christmas…<br />

Eggnog is traditionally consumed<br />

throughout Canada and the United States at<br />

Christmas every year, often from American<br />

Thanksgiving through the end of the<br />

Christmas season.<br />

Creamy, sweet, and full of holiday cheer, this<br />

drink is a winner at the Christmas party!<br />

Method<br />

1. Put the sugar in a saucepan with 75ml<br />

water. Simmer until the sugar has dissolved,<br />

then cool and chill.<br />

Ingredients<br />

• 50g golden caster sugar<br />

• 4 egg yolks<br />

• 1 tsp vanilla extract<br />

• 397g can of condensed milk<br />

• 100ml brandy<br />

• Cinnamon stick for garnish<br />

2. Beat the yolks with the vanilla until smooth.<br />

Add the condensed milk, brandy and cooled<br />

sugar syrup, mixing well. Pour into a jug and<br />

chill for at least 2 hrs. Serve within 24 hrs,<br />

over ice. Add a cinnamon stick to garnish.<br />

It really is just that easy! If you don’t have time<br />

to make it from scratch we also love Advocat<br />
