PART I: PREAMBLE<br />
1. Amendment Structure<br />
PART A - THE PREAMBLE is included for information purposes and is not an<br />
operative part of the Official Plan Amendment.<br />
PART B - THE OFFICIAL PLAN AMENDMENT, including Schedules '1' AND '2'<br />
attached thereto, indicates specific amendments to the Township of King Official<br />
Plan (King City Community Plan) being implemented by Official Plan Amendment<br />
No. XX and is an operative part of the Official Plan Amendment.<br />
2. Purpose<br />
The purpose of this Amendment is to set forth additional land use policies of the<br />
Township of King Planning Area, as amended by Official Plan Amendment No.<br />
540, being the King City Community Plan in conformity with the Oak Ridges<br />
Moraine Conservation Plan, as amended (the "Official Plan"), governing the<br />
lands affected by this Amendment which are designated Estate Residential 3<br />
Area, and Environmental Protection Area as shown on Schedules 'T and '2'<br />
attached hereto, to facilitate a residential development consisting of 318<br />
residential units in a plan of subdivision which includes new public streets and to<br />
be serviced by municipal water and sanitary services.<br />
3. Location<br />
The lands affected by this Amendment consist of a parcel of land generally<br />
located east of Jane Street, north of King Road in the Village of King City and<br />
measuring a total of 40 hectares (99 acres) in size. The lands are legally<br />
described as Part of the West Half of Lot 6 and Part of Lots 7 and 8, Concession<br />
4 within the Township of King, as shown on Schedule 'T attached hereto and<br />
forming part of this amendment. The surrounding land uses consist of residential<br />
dwellings, and environmental sensitive lands and treed areas.<br />
