an action-packed week of high<br />

quality tennis as some of the best<br />

youngsters <strong>in</strong> Great Brita<strong>in</strong> battled<br />

it out. Previous w<strong>in</strong>ners <strong>in</strong>clude<br />

Andy Murray, Dan Evans, Kyle<br />

Edmund and Heather Watson,<br />

so the next generation were<br />

look<strong>in</strong>g to jo<strong>in</strong> an illustrious list of<br />

16U Girls’ S<strong>in</strong>gles<br />

Gemma Heath dom<strong>in</strong>ated the<br />

seed stamped her authority on the<br />

f<strong>in</strong>al aga<strong>in</strong>st Olivia Peet straight<br />

from the off and ran out a 6-1, 6-3<br />

16U Boys’ S<strong>in</strong>gles<br />

Jack Draper edged a thriller with<br />

defend<strong>in</strong>g champion, Paul Jubb<br />

<strong>in</strong> the quarter f<strong>in</strong>als on his way to<br />

the title. The unseeded 14-yearold,<br />

who is play<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> the 16U<br />

category, then fought back to beat<br />

Jacob Fearnley to reach the f<strong>in</strong>al<br />

18U Boys’ S<strong>in</strong>gles<br />

Alastair Gray came through a<br />

trio of tough three-set matches<br />

on his way to the U18 title. He<br />

overcame a titanic tussle with<br />

Anton Matusevich <strong>in</strong> the quarter<br />

f<strong>in</strong>als and fought back <strong>in</strong> the f<strong>in</strong>al<br />

aga<strong>in</strong>st Joe Tyler to w<strong>in</strong> 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.<br />

18U Boys’ Doubles<br />

Alastair Gray and Damian<br />

Rodriguez justified their No. 1<br />

seed<strong>in</strong>g, end<strong>in</strong>g a strong week to<br />

overcome Nicholas Brookes and<br />

Anton Matusevich 6-4, 6-3.<br />
