Morning Routine
A REFRESHED
MORNING
You might be feeling like you
simply have lost control
somewhere in your life. After
14 mornings waking up
refreshed you are likely to
have a sense of renewal and
regain control of those area
where you have some
influence. Get started right
away. Set you morning
routine an hour earlier than
you normally would. Follow
the 20/20/20 rule. Do 20
minutes each - Exercise 20,
Mind Exercise 20, Spirit 20.
GET STARTED RIGHT AWAY
Do not pass go, do not collect $200. Step out of bed and into your sneakers.
Do 20 minutes of exercise upon waking. This can be whatever exercise you
chose – yoga, cardo, stairs, calisthenics, just pick something.
What counts as Mind Exercise?
How do we exercise the mind? Reading – you can do an audio book or you
can do it the old fashioned way. Pick something that stimulates your
thinking.
Q: Are there recommended materials to read?
A: Yes. The Bible, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, The Seat of The Soul by
Gary Zukav, but really explore and pick selections that motivate and push
you to think. Academic Earth has links to a number of video lectures from
colleges and universities.
“I love those who love me, and those who seek
me find me.” (Proverbs 8:17) NIV
HOW DO I CONNECT SPIRITUALLY?
Use the last 20 minutes to Listen to God. Write down what you think you
understand him to be saying. Ask questions. Listen more. While you are
doing the first 20 minutes of exercise open up your heart. While you are
doing the second 20 minutes of Mind exercise, open up your heart even
more. Then sit for your last 20 minutes and try to hear what God has to say.
When you start your 14 day series, stick with it. If you miss a day, start over
at Day 1. Keep trying until you have successfully accomplished feeling
refreshed upon waking for 14 days in a row. If possible, save big decisions
until after your 14 days. But Listen intently to God each morning and do as
He directs. Feel Better. Think Better. Become Healthier.
